Calm down....Take some deep breaths and listen.

You say he licked some pantene soap off of him, and is now vomiting and bubbles coming out? He wont move?

This will cause vomiting, over and over until there is nothing left in his very upset stomach.

He won't move because his stomach is hurting, badly I'm sure.

If I did not understand what you are saying please repeat it but calmer.

He wont die, calm down.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I tried to do some research online to see if I could find any information to help you.  I was not able to find anything.  I hope someone else will be able to give you advice.  I hope your cat is doing better.

Okay so I was correct, she licked shampoo from her body and is sick from it.

No, she will not die, but she will throw up anything in her stomach, it is her bodies way of getting rid of bad things.

She will drink when she is ready, you can't really force her to drink, and she is sleeping alone because that is what cats do when they feel sick. They want to be alone when they feel sick, and sleep.

She will be better. She has an upset stomach.

I do not think taking her to a vet is needed. What the vet will do is give her something to make her throw up more, but if she already has been throwing up then she is handling it correctly. Unless you think she is getting worse for some reason but I dont think this will happen though, it takes time for her body to deal with the soap in her system, so give her some time.

There is no way that licking soap from her body will kill her, it will just make her feel very bad and never want to do that again!

I gave my cat some food yesterday that didn't agree with her. She was fine for about 10 minutes after feeding. She then got on the floor, made a horrible sound as if she was in pain. She then proceeded to throw up all of her food. After that, she threw up 8 more times - mostly foamy froth. Afterwards, she wanted to left alone for about 3 hours. Today, she is eating and acting fine. I'm sure you baby's problems will pass. Maybe skip the shampoo in the future as cats do a pretty good job cleaning themselves.

I'm glad I could help.

She will not eat as usual until her stomach settles, so do not be worried, she won't starve. As I said it will take a day or so for her to recover and be back to normal.

I had to smile when you commented-relaxed face finally.

I doubt she will soon forget how badly she felt from licking the soap and will likely not try that again. Cats are smart and have survival instincts as we do, so I wouldn't worry about her doing that again. She knows the taste going in her mouth and knows the taste coming back out, she will remember. Guaranteed :)

cats are not dirty animals unless kept in a dirty environment, which i am not saying is the case, but the point is, there is generally no reason to have to bathe a cat. if you used humans shampoo on your cat, you should never ever do that, too many chemicals to begin with, shampoo isn't even good for humans O3O which is why I don't use shampoo (yes, my hairs clean, when I don't shave it off xD, but I just rinse it with water).

When you say she makes a 'wierd movement as though she is in pain', I think you are talking about the reflex action cats have when they are trying to throw up, and that is normal.

It would be a good idea to wash around her face (the mouth area) with clean water.

If your cat continues to vomit without drinking she could dehydrate.

If she is improving, then it should be fine.

But if you have any doubts at all, please take her to the vet.

Please don't use human shampoos on cats as they are not designed for them.

Let us know how you get on

i agree .. however the only reason i Decided to give him a bath is his hair looked really bad from playing around under the Furniture and we all know how Dusty it is and this was the first bath for him since 2 months so im sure im not overdoing it D:

Keeping your cat hydrated is important since he is throwing up.  If he won't drink on his own, use a clean dropper (make sure no medicine residue is in or on it) to slowly squirt water down the sides of his mouth, not straight down the middle .  You don't want him to choke.  Give him 2 droppers every 10 minutes for an hour.  Wait  2 hours and repeat.  Leave water near him to allow him to drink on his own.  You can add a little water from a can of tuna to his water dish to encourage him to drink.

If he is not showing signs of improvement, take him to your vet, and bring the bottle of shampoo with you so the vet can check the ingredients.  Human shampoo is full of chemicals that are toxic to cats.

I probably don't need to say this, but please never use shampoo on your cat again.  Unless he is getting extremely dirty, he doesn't need baths at all.  Cats are very good at keeping themselves clean and rarely require baths.

My heart goes out to you - I know how scared and worried you are for your cat.  I truly hope he will be OK.  Don't hesitate to take him to your vet if you think he hasn't improved by morning.  All good wishes to you and your cat that he feels better very soon.

Not sure why he is running, but I suspect you might be right.  If he is having pain he may be trying to "run away" from it.

As I'd suggested in my previous post, I would encourage you to give him some water if he has not taken any on his own.  Keeping him hydrated will make him feel better.
