Vet visit today

Just had my mesha to the vet, worried about her change of eating and breathing. She has stopped eating many of her food flavors since Sunday. She will only eat two flavors. I then started watching her and her breathing just didn't look right at times. I guess I'm paranoid.

Vet reported, heart sounded good, lungs sound clear, temp fine, gums look good. The only thing he saw was her one eye looked red he mentioned conjunctivitis. He also said her hiss sounded raspy. He gave her a shot of convenia, a long lasting antibiotic? He said maybe she has a little something in her nose and throat. He mentioned X-rays but her lungs sounded clear o I didn't think that was necessary.

Any input from you, my cat site friend. I love this angel and want to do right by her. I value your opinions.

If she is a little raspy in her nose and throat that could explain her changing tastes. When they can't smell they don't eat as well. Maybe certain flavors don't smell like they used to.

I would just keep a close eye on her symptoms and go back to the vet if they worsen or don't get better soon.

Just a heads-up that Convenia sometimes has side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, and loss of appetite. I have two cats that received Convenia - one did fine but the other had nausea and loss of appetite for about a week.
