Cut on my kittens lips?

My kitten have a cut in his lips and i took him to the vet and he said that he probably cut himself while playing and gave me Fusiderm cream .. but whenever i put it in his lips he licks it off and start drooling because he hate the taste of the cream??

What should i do? 

I would call the Vet back and just ask them if it's ok that he licks it right off, and ask if it does any good to even apply it.Then ask if it will just heal on it's own, since it's obviously bitter to the kitten and it may become an issue for you to even apply it.
