Im starting to understand why people prefer animals to humans.

With humans you have to take the good and the bad. The whining, the fighting, and the b-tching. I love my family more than my cat, of course. But im starting to understand the people that become immersed in their animals and sometimes forget the humans in their lives.

its just so much easier, you give them food and a little love, and they stand by you, and give you affection. they dont yell at you, or offend you. Sometimes i just want to grab my cat and walk out the door and act like other people dont exist. lol i know that sounds completely insane. But i do feel like that sometimes.

I remember when i first got my cat and took her to the vet, there were these group of people saying how their pets are first in their lives and they will make any sacrifice for them, and they come first before their family... lol i thought they were crazy! i now understand why they feel this way, its easier to love an animal than a human.

Do you guys think im nuts?

Heck no I don't think you're nuts. You sound normal to me. I don't love my family more than I love my cats. I love my family, yes, and am especially close to two of my four siblings. But they can take care of themselves. My cats come first. Who else do they have, but me? They are my joy and comfort and caring for them the way I do, arranging my life around their needs, is a life style choice I am completely happy with.

If you're nuts then the rest of us are absolutely insane and nuts! I've always said I prefer animals to people. They don't judge, they don't hurt you and they are there for you unconditionally!

I don't trust people who don't like animals.

We've had family issues where one isn't talking to the other --- but we never had that with cats! I guess that says something!

You sound perfectly normal to me.  I prefer living with my ladies and no humans.
