Good morning!
 Happy Friday!

I recently switched over to Google Chrome because my computer was shutting down every time I got online using Internet Explorer. So far I like using Chrome, but I think IE was faster overall. Still, if it doesn't make my computer freeze, I'm good to go.

What browser do you use to come online and why is that browser your choice?

I'm really curious because, if I'm missing something, I'd like to know!

I use Mozilla Firefox and I like it. We use it because DH insisted on downloading something other than IE.

I have Firefo and I/E. I started having problems with the I/E and was advised by some folks here in the Tech forum to try another browser. That is why I downloaded the Firefox. I want to get my I/E working better because it is the one I really prefer.

Safari for macs. It works best for macs. IMO and doesn't require constant upgrades like Firefox.

I use IE - always have. Just because it's there, and I'm technically challenged. When I got a Mac from a friend, years ago, I used the Safari, and at work we use Chrome.

Firefox. I used to use AOL and IE, but was having too many problems with it.

Firefox.  Because it isn't owned by a huge, greedy corporation.

Firefox is my browser of choice because it has the best add-ons for my needs. I switch to Chrome when the latest FF update is buggy or its add-ons need updates. Opera mini is fastest on my phone.

I am mostly using Chrome but I switch back to IE when Chrome acts up.  I switched to Chrome when IE was giving me issues trying to shop from Walmart's website.  It took me talking to one of their customer service people to figure out it was my browser that was the problem.  Now I find if I'm having problems loading or viewing a site; the other browser will do it fine.

I was using IE but a while back I couldn't post pictures on TCS. The whole tool bar was gone. JCat suggested a few remedies, but none of them worked. Then she suggested downloading Chrome, which worked perfectly. But just recently I found that IE now shows the TCS tool bar, so I can post pictures etc. Don't know what caused it to suddenly stop and then go back. But I do have Chrome just in case of any problems.

I hear you. I think you got your computer right after I got my last one, so they're right around the same age. What's really funny is that when I got this computer, Rick took the old one. The fan had died. I put a new fan in it and more RAM and it's still going strong. Go figure. (And I still like that one more than this one.)

I think our next computer will be a laptop.

Since I've been using Chrome, I've had no trouble with computer freezes. *knock on wood* But it's a lot slower than IE.

Right now I used Google Chrome, only because my Firefox has been screwing up and freezing every time I try and use it. My BF always uses IE, but I don't like using it myself. Haven't had any trouble with Chrome, just trying to get used to it after years of using Firefox.
