Ring them again.  He doesn't sound well.  Has he had any vet treatment?  Vaccinated?  Wormed?  Any coughs, sniffles or snuffles?

As long as he's active, you're not too bad off. Are you treating him with antibiotics?

If he's not eating at all, it is possible to assist him with some intake, but that has its own risks.

Oh I hope you can get some fluids into him. Kittens can dehydrate so quickly. If you call your vets office do they give you an emergency vet phone number to use when your reg vet is closed?

What do you mean by "sick"?   Do you mean throwing up?  Diarrhea?  Or just not wanting to eat?

It's critical for kittens to each enough and get enough fluids as they can become dehydrated rather quickly.   If it was me, I'd make appt with the Vet to have kitten checked out.

Does kitten go outside at all?

What kind of food do you feed?   Did you recently change to a different kind of food that maybe he doesn't care for?

Sometimes kittens end up chewing things or swallowing things they shouldn't, which can cause an obstruction inside their intestines -which can be very serious.   Usually if this happens you'll see that they don't want to eat, sometimes they'll throw up, sometimes they'll have diarrhea.   I myself recently rescued a kitten about 3 months old and after having her for a couple of weeks she started to throw up a few times a day and didn't want to eat which wasn't normal for her at all.  I feared she had eaten something she shouldn't have to took her to the Emerg Vet and had them do an xray of her belly and thankfully everything looked normal.

Has your kitten been dewormed?  (with proper deworming medication that a Vet would prescribe, not the crap that they sell in stores which is generally useless and sometimes toxic to a kitten).   Worms can cause tummy upset and not wanting to eat.

I would get your kitten seen by the Vet if she's still not wanting to eat.    Could she be teething?  (losing baby teeth and permanent teeth coming in)   I think that can cause poor appetite as gums are sore......best then to feed soft canned food several times a day.

Good he is drinking and also eating a little now.  So just go to the vet when they open, make sure they give you visit time today..

Good luck!

If the dog comes in the house and the dog has fleas, the house will have flea eggs, larvae & pupae...

Is that a safe powder?  Pet shop products have a horrible habit of being unsafe and/or ineffective.  You also need to treat the dog of course.

But what do you mean by "sick again through the night"?   "Sick" means different things to different people.    Do you mean throwing up/vomiting?  Diarrhea?

I'm going to assume that by sick you mean throwing up? Honestly, I would think a diet change would be the best thing at this point. Dry food can often cause tummy upset in kitties. When my one year old female, Cookie, was a very small kitten, every time she was fed kibble she would throw up and have soft stool. The switch to wet food (and eventually commercial raw) really fixed this issue and Cookie never really throws up anymore at all, and her litterbox habits are always normal. Maybe (if it is an option financially) you could switch him to a higher quality food brand. These brands are usually found at specialty pet stores only, not grocery stores. Weruva is a fantastic wet food, and it is grain-free. Weruva was the wet food I had my cats on before switching to raw and they did splendidly on it.

Why do you say you have to starve him for 24 hrs.? That isn't safe, especially for a kitten.

Yes,  I too did reacted to this mysterious Powder mentioned in bypassing somewhere..

If it is such a  substandard powder like many are, it could alone be more than enough of explanation for the cats ill being.

The only reasonably safe anti-flea powder I do know of is the Diatomeus Earth, of human food grade.

I agree, food should not be withheld from a kitten for 24 hours.  by all means limit his diet to boiled chicken and rice, which is soothing to an upset tummy but don't feed him nothing at all.

I suggest you find another vet, first telling you not to worry about his illness, and now to not feed for 24 hours. Both times bad advice.
