Kitty Exercise

Thank you for the recent responses on Venus's dragging! I will definitely bring that up to check as soon as I can get a vet appointment.

Another question- and I suppose this is more general- is what are your go-to ways to give your kitty exercise? My Venus LOVES to chase ribbons on dangly wands, but doesn't like other toys (one sniff and ignore), and I sometimes worry that she isn't getting enough or the right kind of exercise. What do you think?

How often are you guys playing? I've always read at least 15 minutes per day. I know many of us TCS'rs have cat trees, which are great for exercise! Ever since I got mine, they run up and down with each other and I use it when I play with them to get them moving.

Here is the one I have: http://amzn.com/B003WGGWQA and both I and the kitties love it! I know the favorite toy in my house for us and them is Da Bird. Even if they are having a more lazy day, they will jump up for Da Bird!

OH - my kitties go crazy for feather wands and Da Bird! I love Da Bird and I seriously think it is the best cat toy ever invented. My cats usually chase each other around, but they get a good workout playing with the feather wand every day.

Venus's toy is like Da Bird, but it has multi-colored ribbons on it. She actually went after that one while it was still in the package!

I also ordered her Christmas present today: a multi-image laser pointer. I hope she'll like chasing that!
