My shadowgirl has a big bump on her hear on the right side making her right eye stay closed. A few weeks ago she was sneezing alot and there was blood when she sneezed. A friend gave me antiboitics and she was fine. Then the other day we woke up and her head had the bump, she lets me touch it (very squwechie) and she is sleeping alot (not that she don't anyway) but she won't leave my side. she is still sneezing but no blood....Please someone tell me what I should do. my husband is out of work so we really can't afford a vet right now. Does anyone have any home remedy i can try.

You really need to get to a vet ASAP. A bump on the head + bleeding nose + unable to open eye + sleeping a lot = bad bad bad bad bad bad bad mixture of signs. If you can't afford big vet bills right now many vets will work with you so you can make smaller payments over time instead of one big payment at once. What you have just described seems like signs of something quite serious to the point of possibly being fatal, in my opinion, and if that were my cat I would be freaking out. Please take her to the vet, if you can't find one that will do a payment plan get a loan from a friend or something, all those signs seem much too serious for any sort of home remedy to help..

Also, using antibiotics that aren't prescribed specifically to a certain cat by the vet can do more harm than good for them. I would stop using whatever your friend gave you if you haven't already.

Oh good! Let us know how it goes. Hopefully it's just an inflamed/irritated sinus or something and not anything too serious that is causing it.

Since your friend works at the vets she probably had some good prior knowledge of the antibiotic so it's probably not that big of a deal considering that she is experienced with that all - I was just assuming she was a friend with a cat but no real vet-related experience that was just like "oh use this" which would be questionable, but if she works at the vets it's probably okay to trust using whatever she gave your kitty for now. Just don't forget to mention that you used that antibiotic to the actual vet when you do go in so that if he does prescribes something else you know there won't be any risks involved with the two being combined that he wasn't aware of.
