If you are letting him in you need to get him neutered ASAP - even then he might still get her pregnant if you don't keep an eye on them when togeather as it takes a while after his operation for the full effect.

Here the best picture of the kittens i could get Im going to try again when daddy isnt being so protective.

Heres a picture of the mother kindle

Picture of her with the babies in the nest she finally chose smh

Heres a picture of the male cat jafar You cant see it but he has two kittens sucking on him lol

Because I cant see any milk coming from my female cats nips I decided to use Hartz Powdered Formula for Kittens I figured maybe she was to young/small to fully produce alot of milk so i bought it to hopefully ease her a little. Any thoughts on using the milk formula?

Good news.  But remember he isn't instantly sterilised.
Yes I'm aware. I'm just going to have to be diligent about keeping them seperated when I or the spouse isnt around or paying close enough attention at this point its the best I can do they wont spay her until she's stopped nursing the grand babies.

I cant be fully sure but i believe kindle and jafar came from the same litter and once again i cant be sure but i believe jafar is the only male she mated with so it stands to reason they would look like dopplegangers lol. Weve talked about it but honestly who knows they are little cuties though.

Inbreeding matters little in the world of cats, especially if you live in the united states where the gene pool tends to be rather wide compared to Europe or other countries. Cats can safely inbreed for as many as 5 or 6 generations because there will almost always be fresh male blood at some point so long as the entire family line is generally healthy.

if both cats were outdoor cats when the female came into heat, and there are more than just those two around, then there is only a 50% chance that your male cat is the father as she would have attracted every able bodied tomcat within a 10 mile radius if she was a caller, her scent alone, once picked up on the wind could travel that far.

they are all gorgeous cats though, I have a soft spot for ginger and white tabbies

Just found this thread.

Well done you!  They were lucky to find you.  Glad they're both having their ops.

And they look like very cute kittens (are there any other kind?)

Can only disagree with this entire statement, how ridiculous to say inbreeding doesn't matter!

Guess us breeders should just save the expense of constantly bringing in new lines then? since according to you we're good for 5-6 gens. What a load of rubbish

Congrats!

Since you weren't around when she had the last one watch her today to make sure she isn't bleeding or start acting funny because you don't know if she passed everything. The last thing you want is her to get an infection!

Take lots of pictures! They grow fast! Sophia had kitten little over two weeks ago and they are huge already!!

Again congrats!

I just noticed its two new kittens in there so i'm going to pay more attention through out the day. I have a total of 4 and its no possible way its another in there she's really skinny like she was before now. its nice to see my lean mean baby back for the most part. Since I wasn't awake for the last two I sat out extra food this morning so that she can get some energy back. I have now arranged for the whole family to have a vet visit monday just to make sure all is well.

She needs as much food as she will eat for the next few weeks, and the best way to see if there is a problem is to weigh the kittens once a day at about the same time.  Grams are better than ounces as there are no decimal points to worry about.  Most days they should put on over 10g each, hence her need to lots of food.

I would also be very wary about taking them to the vet, as it's a place they can all too easily pick up an infection.

Do talk to your vet about worming though.  The usual thing in the UK for kittens is Panacur.

you might need to remove your male cat from the house completely, if you can, if he's making alot of noise then it could be upsetting her, some cats walk around constantly before, and even during and after labor, I had a cat once who never stopped moving the entire labor and delivery of 5 kittens, had one in the middle of the floor, cleaned it up, carried it to the nest, had another in the nest, cleaned it up, got up, walked around for another 15 minutes before having the rest in the middle of my kitchen floor

cats need a quiet, dark place to give birth, depending on how long you've had the cat, she might still be nervious in her surroundings, especially if she isn't used to being locked up.

how old is the cat? if she's under a year old you need to keep a close eye on her in the off-chance that she might have issues with the birth, particularly if she is small.

I found a pregnant cat back sept 15th 2011 and 2 days later sept 17 2011 she gave birth guess were she decided to give birth at..
