the story

my sister and I were sitting on the couch when our front door opened this morning. when we heard a horrible meow coming from the door. I got up to see what was wrong with my cat Pepper, as i opened the door he got up to walk towards me. When I noticed that his bad legs where very wobbly as he could not walk very well so I ran towards him and took him to my bedroom.

(about a week ago he fell as was taken to the emergency room late at night because he had the similar problem. when  was at the doctors they said that he had just a spinal turma which is just like being in shock)

Not going to freak out completely like I did last time and spend close to 400$ again I decided to wait it out instead. About an hour later he was able to walk slightly better but I noticed he was covered in fecal matter. He has been eating and drinking. He lets you touch him and shows no signs of aggression when being messed with but he won’t move his tail at all when he walks it doesn’t sway like it used to and when you scratch his base of his tail there’s a bump and he won’t raise his tail like he normally dose. He is also not meowing very often which he normally is a very noisy kitty.

What should I do? Should I wait 48hr or take him to the ER again?

I would DEFINITELY not wait 48 hours, I would get him to the ER Vet as soon as possible.   Something is obviously wrong.   Cats are notorious at hiding their illness and pain so by the time you see symptoms, you really need to get them to the Vet.   Make sure you take kitty in a proper carrier in the car so that kitty is safely contained.   I've had cats all my life, I currently have 6....if this was my cat I would go now...I would not wait....honestly.   Good luck, let us know how it goes.   Hopefully they will do xrays of kitty's spine and hind quarters.

It sounds like he injured the base of his spine.  However, since you say he had a similar problem recently, it's possible he has some sort of ongoing problem, perhaps an old injury or even a tumor at that site.

I suggest you call and ask whether the problem they were talking about last time is going to be a chronic issue for him... if it is, then this might be a non-emergency. Since you can't convince your parents, I advise you to call and get their advice, and perhaps have them try to convince your mom. If that's not possible, just keep a close eye on your cat for the time being.
