Venus will bat and paw my husband awake at all hours of the night. He used to get all annoyed and say, "Why don't you bother Mommy?" Then one night, I was sleeping but he was wide awake. He saw Venus approach me and literally jumping my chest. My breathing didn't change one bit. Then, suddenly, snoring and all, my hand crept up and clumsily began petting Venus. I never once woke up and had no memory of this, but apparently Venus has trained me to pet her in my sleep.

Tegato wakes me up by meowing in my face when he wants to be fed or wants attention when I am trying to sleep. He even sits on my face sometimes while he is meowing.  It is hard to breathe or move sitting with a cat sitting on your face.

Sonny is a lap cat but occasionally he does not land right when he jumps in my lap and he scratches up my legs when he starts to slip. He also likes to plop down in front of my feet on the stairs and he blends in with the carpeting so I have been tripped a few times.

Starbuck will only groom my face when she can wake me up really early in the morning when I have a day off.  She just turned 6 years old.  I got her at 6 weeks old and she used to wake me up every two hours cleaning my face or chomping on my nose when she was a baby.  She woke me up one morning when she was a baby by breaking gel acrylic nail tips I had put on for a friends wedding the day after the wedding. The nail place asked if I wanted them repaired and I just told them I wanted to them gone because it is painful when my kitten tries to pull them off with her teeth.

I love all my babies and their annoying habits are just part of being a kitty parent.  I never get mad at them for any of their antics,

Ha ha! I solved my sleep issue! I put a bowl of a little kibble by her bed and now she eats a bit of food and waits for me to give her her real brekkie. Bliss…

Mine have a full bowls of food and yet want "fresh" out of the bag.  They will wake me up at all hours of the night.  I get up, stumble to the food dish only to find it full.  I will never understand what is up with that.

hehe mine does a similar thing in that no matter how much or how little I feed her, she always leaves the same amount in the bowl at the edge. Not a pet peeve for me really though :)

what does seriously annoy my bf is her to desire to stretch across the bed, and only on his side, taking up more room than him, so he is squished up against me and I'm squished up against the edge. Doesn't really bother me though :)

um um...kitty litter all over the floor?

Venus chews on cardboard. Normally, this isn't a big deal, but we just moved and we're not unpacked yet!

-Kojak steals things: Keys, lip gloss, wrappers, cards, nothing is safe! If anything goes missing, I always know to check his hiding places  :lol3:
-Lucky has Pica and will eat any kind of plastic he finds, so we have to be really sure not to leave anything plastic out for him to find. (He also likes to shred my flowers, spread the petals all over the house, then vomit them up...lovely! He's the reason I keep all non-toxic plants around my home)
-Isabella - she can just be downright mean and aggressive! She's only gotten worse with age, unfortunately. She's lucky she's so darn pretty!

I never "punish" my cats though. If I want to deter their behavior and I catch them in the act doing something they shouldn't, I will use a spray bottle to spray a bit of water on their tails, or I will just give them a firm "No", and that does the trick too. (When they were fiesty kittens, a shake from an empty soda can with a few pennies inside of it would do the trick.) I try to keep lots of toys and things that they enjoy around the house, so they have positive activities to do. They also have a large cat tree to play on.

If you can find a cat Kong toy, or just an XS puppy Kong, those are terrific to fill with cat treats (or even their food) so they have to work and get their reward. It'll give them something to keep them busy and keep them out of trouble. :) I'm a big fan of interactive toys for both my cats and my dogs.

Monet:

1. Always finding ways to get into the garbage, no matter how secure I make it. I now have to keep my garbage outside of my door, which I hate to do out of respect for my neighbors.

2. Always jumping on the counter where he's not allowed, by the sink (he's unfazed by anything to deter him, even Ssscat!)

3. The way he races across the bed, jumping on me to wake me up in the mornings (he'd let me sleep, but as soon as he realizes I am awake, he darts back and forth over me)

Cassie:

uumm.. can't think of a thing she does to tick me off!

It seems Monet is the trouble maker of the family. lol

They

Puke on the carpet.

Fling litter - and stuff embedded in the litter - out of the box.

Bring freaky stuff in the house like earthworms, birds' nests and dead birds.

Wipe their butts on the carpet if a poop gets stuck on them.

Sneak into grandma's room and get themselves locked in.

Never give me affection on MY terms.

The mere sound of my kitchen faucet, no matter how quietly I do it brings two of my cats and they HAVE TO LEAN OVER and bat the water stream all over the place. Also the mere sound of the tv being clicked on brings our 6month old who then blocks the screen while he watches and paws at the image. It is only a little bit annoying, and they do seem to know about the firm "no" , however falling asleep down in the family room I have witnessed them completely checking out every possible surface in the kitchen, then licking it too.
I gave up trying to deter these actions long ago, and now I am the favored kitty parent!

We keep our bedroom door closed at night --- but at around 5 - 6 am Tony starts banging on the door -- and he bangs really hard! If we let him do it long enough he'll eventually stop. Tippytoes just starts yelling --- and since she has some Siamese in her you can imagine her yell.
I'm begenning to think Jazmine Thumper and Marty has some siamese in them you knwo why 1 the body shape resambles the siamese a little 2 thumper and marty has a little blue tint in there eye color 3 when its feeding time O BOY here comes the meowing they act like they are starved when they are not they been like that since birth Marty is the worst

Well they are little buggers lol but that's what I love about them there crazy personality's so long as there all happy and not hurt ting each other I put up with it no probes but I do have to use a squirt bottle with Bazz Man I don't have to squirt him just point it in his direction lol he can be quite mean to poor old Roxy girl but most times I only have to pick the bottle up and he's out of there lol so it saves a lot of stress for Rox and it dose not hurt him win win in my books but that's it other than that they rule my place
my place is set up for there max comfort and if there happy so is Mummy I must say though it would be nice if they learned to empty there own kitty litter trays lol
