Last contest winner, Karen (Abbysmom), has chosen our new Random Contest theme.. Thankful Times!

With Thanksgiving in the US fast approaching, we all take a moment to sit back and reflect on what we are thankful for- whether its our family, health or even a small pleasure.

To enter- Post up to 3 things you are thankful for, and post a picture of it/them! (the catch: NO CATS ALLOWED!)

Contest dates: 11/9/12-11/24/12 at midnight

Rules:

• Post what you are thankful for! Do not go into heavy details as we will be discussing this in the winner's thread!

No mention of cats anywhere! Think of something else you are thankful for!

• Feel free to post up to 3 things you are thankful for! Include a photo with each thanks!

• Photos must be taken by you only. Please provide clear, large images!

• There will be a poll with all thankful themes and one winner!

EXAMPLE:

I am thankful for my 3 beautiful nieces!

Among other things I am thankful for my husband Paul's wonderful doctors who have helped him thru his heart and medical issues and got him on the track to better health.

Here is Dr. Vicky, along with Paul and the giant teddy bear they gave him at his brunch after he completed his treatments. Her husband, the cariologist, was on hospital calls so he's not in the picture.

We were so lucky and thankful to have found this amazing medical team.

I wish I had a picture of all of the TCS staff members together to post here!

Will post this instead:

Thankful for my wonderful family and the opportunity we had to travel together for half a year. And also thankful for the hospitality shown to us by Americans and Canadians during that time!

I cannot post pics, but this has been a blessed year for me, and I would like to share it with my friends here at TCS.

My health has been better this year, I have not been in the hospital once. I spent about half of last year in one hospital or another.

I have made peace with my mil after nearly 20 years of not speaking to each other. We have become very close, and we live next door to her. This made dh so happy, and he is such a sweetheart, I am glad to see him more peaceful than he has been years, back on the family land.

My daughter and I are closer than ever, she lives 20 minutes away, so we get to call or visit a good bit. She has 2 loving, wonderful, happy, healthy daughters of her own, Olivia,7, and Raven, almost a year. Little Raven has grandpa wrapped firmly around her tiny finger.

I wish all of you many blessings and good health on this coming year.

I got married to a wonderful man this past December:

I moved into a lovely apartment:

I am so thankful for my students. Though they have disabilities, they are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. They range in age from 3 to 5. I can't post their pictures for privacy reasons, but here are the pumpkins we decorated recently:

I am Thankful for my hubby who is standing by me with my Cancer

The house we are renting. (The furniture out front is the previous renter's and they did not leave it) We have great landlords who are very understanding with my situation.(The dog isn't ours either. We have our cats)

I have no pics to upload, but..

I'm thankful for:

1. My wonderful, sexy Marine hubby (purrrrrrr) and our 9 kids (cats!)

2. His amazing, funny, and kind family, who have been so good to me (unlike mine)

3. That we have steady jobs, and a modest, but nice, house we still can afford. We've been truly blessed.

I'm so thankful for every day that I'm able to watch the sun rise and set and all the different places that I have seen it do so.

I'm even more thankful for the ones that I get to share it with, especially this little boy who holds my heart in his hand.

I'm thankful for an amazing man who healed my heart when he placed this beautiful ring on my finger and said "I do".
