New cat owner

Hello everyone,

I recently rescued a 2 year old cat from my local shelter. Her name is Athena. They were going to put her down because of URI....................... blows my brain. hah! anyways she was listed as a bengal but idk bout that one cuz people get to touchy but i love her! my kitten is named Daemion and my wife and I rescued him from the streets. He was found inside an engine compartment of a rental car business next door. His mom was found dead right outside the enterprise so i had to take his little butt home! im also curious in what their breeds are if someone could answer that one id appreciate it! anyways thanks for looking!

Hi, welcome to TCS!    I am not good with identifying breeds, but your cats are certainly beautiful and exotic looking.  Bless you and your wife for saving them. 

Hi there, i'm new here too and just thought i'd say how beautiful your babies are! I'm not sure about the older cat, she looks like she's got some Bengal in her but perhaps not a pure bred but the younger kitten looks exactly like a 6mo called Matilda who I just rehomed. The same wide markings and colouring so I would say he looks to be a British Shorthair cross. He has the build and face of a British Shorthair but his markings seem more American Shorthair so he may be some kind of cross breed especially if he and his mum were strays rather than from an actual breeder. I'm no expert though so can't guarantee i'm right! I love how close they look already by the way they're very sweet
