how often to feed wet?

Matt's weight loss has been successful when I stepped on the scale with and without him the difference was 13lbs (from 14)

I'm really happy about that and I've also noticed that a good deal of his food begging looks like attention-seeking behavior. So, I'm wondering now how often wet food actually needs to be fed for a cat his size. 3x daily sound good? he had been up to 5x daily when I thought he was starving but that included the middle of the night feedings and if he isn't actually starving I could do without getting up at 4am. 7 I don't mind, since the kids are up at 7:30 anyway, and it give me quiet time......

He's on Wellness 1/3 can per day with 1/4 cup low cal dry, but I'm thinking of cutting the dry if I cut the night feeding. It's a pain to prepare in the middle of the night, what with warming it up and all lol

I know you have a couple different threads going about Matt and his food, etc., so am wondering whether or not you've actually gotten your question answered on one of those other threads?  If not, let us know.  (I, personally, think 3 meals a day is sufficient, as long as the amount is sufficient...)

I did get an answer from a new post on an older conversation, thanks Wet feeding has been such a pain with Matt, since he's always acting hungry. I've been on the verge of giving up more than a dozen times, and now his teeth are looking bad in spite of regular brushings. I'll have to start saving for a scale and polish and hope he doesn't die under aenesthtic like Sassy did.....I didn't want to deal with this so soon................
