I didn't know where to post this, so I chose health.  My boys went for their check-up today.  They are each down an additional pound from last year's visit.  My Ulysses is down from his heaviest of 18.7 down to 15.7. Doc said he doesn't really have any belly fat but has a thin layer of chub around his chest area. I will try and get him down to 15 lbs even.

Gus (guseepoo) is down to 12.1 lbs.  His heaviest was 14.1. Doc says he's perfect.  They're big tall cats with lots of hair so they certainly look heavier.

I'm so happy to finally have them at a good weight.  I was very upset that my Ulysses was fat and it had been my fault for feeding him too much.  Awesome day for the cats and I :-)  Although, on the way home, poor Guseepoo's carrier fell forward onto the floor in the car, the poor guy.  He was okay. I, of course, was on the cusp of a heart attack.

Hey, that's great...except for the carrier falling over
Glad you didn't have that heart attack.  (I would have felt the same )

We worked hard on the weight loss, so it was a proud moment.

Good for you!  I know it must be hard work helping them lose weight.  One of my two year old cats has an extra pound and a half that has crept on and I've just started monitoring meal time more closely so she can't finish the others' leftovers.  I feel like it is hard work and it's only been 12 days or so....LOL.  (She has lost 0.2 pounds.)

Yea, it isn't easy to get them to lose weight. Along with diet, I made sure they got/get at least 20 minutes of intense play. Well, we try and make it intense. Lol
