Hi, I used to post some on this forum several years ago and have recently found my way back. I have been gone for awhile, but with the recent addition of Stella kitty I found my way back! Since most of you probably don't remember my cats, I thought I would reintroduce them.
We still have Alafair, my 16 year old Russian Blue. She is white with blue points strangely enough, but that apparently happens from time to time with Russian Blues? My dad got her for me when I was in preschool, and while she dislikes almost every human soul she loves my father and I. She became friendlier when I moved out of my parents' house and she got older, but is still not the most social of creatures. She moved back in with me this past August, and I am enjoying having my girl back with me full-time.
We also still have Jason. The last time I posted here he was only 6 months old, but he turns four at some point in the next couple of months. I adopted him as a kitten on Friday February 13, and after taking my younger brother to see the Friday the 13th movie that was playing we decided to name him Jason. He is still roaming the land around my parents' house, and has grown into a beautiful tabby cat. He can be a very affectionate cat when he wants to be, but he will also ignore you for as long as he pleases! His hobbies include hunting and lurking around corners so that he can pounce on the dogs.
About 3 weeks ago I got a kitten named Stellaluna. There are numerous feral cats living around our college campus, and while in class one day one of the campus police guys captured her right outside our window. I ran after him and he gave me this very displeased and hostile kitten, and I took her home. I was kind of scared of her at first because she was just sitting in her box hissing at me whenever I moved, but in a matter of 7 hours or so I "tamed the beast", and she was able to be held and petted. I tried to find her a home, but no one showed any interest in a little black kitten so I decided to keep her. She's a very friendly and playful creature, and I love having her around. I haven't had a kitten since Jason was small, and I had forgotten how cute their antics are! I got her when she was about 6 weeks old, so I guess she's about 9 weeks now?
So, those are my cats! I also have a gecko named Lola and two betta fish (Starfeesh and Gutenberg) living with me, a horse named Charlie, and two dogs (Buck and Rusty) living with my parents. I'll try to at least get some pictures of the kitties!
