My kitten Porsha is only six weeks old, and right now she is unconscious on my chest.
The vet thought she just had a minor case of diarrhea, but in the past three hours she's deteriorated to the point of shallow breathing, minimal blinking, and no responses to my voice. I've tried every vet within a half hour drive, and since I already spent my paycheque on vet visits, no one will see her for free. Our best guess is allergies to her diarrhea medication or distemper (infection of the gut).
We are trying to make it for another 8 hours, when our usual vet is on call and might see us for free (or cheaper than over $200), but for now I'm just hoping for the next breath, and the next.
Please let me know any way I can keep her alive (hopefully), or at least ease her way to the other side. She's so young, life just isn't fair sometimes.
Also, sometimes she gives a whimper or meow, even though she is completely unconscious. Anyone know why?
Send your loving thoughts to my little babycat <3
