Good morning, everyone!

Daylight Standard Time goes into effect Sunday morning at 2:00. My question for you today is: Are you ready to turn your clocks back one hour? How do you feel about Standard Time?

I hate it. With a passion. I love being outside as much as I can and I love the light. Losing that extra hour of light, especially as the days get shorter and shorter, is very depressing to me.

It's a long time until spring!!!

I certainly liked gaining an hour when I had work the following Monday lol! I'm not a big fan of the shorter days, but I AM a fan of what they mean!.... Colder days! I hate the summers here, and it's FINALLY feeling like fall out :lol3:

I guess I am the opposite only because I find it SO hard to get out of bed on these dark mornings.... SO I look forward to the sun coming up earlier. I am a morning person. :sun: I also don't like it getting dark so early and the days getting shorter. Yeah - Spring seems so far away after DST. :slant:

We switched back last weekend, and I enjoyed the extra hour on Sunday. I really hate the short days during the late fall and winter. It doesn't make much difference whether it's DST once it's late October. It doesn't get light out till after I'm at work, and it's usually dusk when I get home.

No remembering to change the clocks here but it sure messes up my TV schedule. I have what is called time switching on the dish, and it messes up networks and worse, Knowledge Network from BC - now my shows are going to be on an hour later, and I will have to give up Dazliel and Pascoe, Touch of Frost, and a few from Seattle PBS because they will be starting at 11 instead of 10. Curses upon the idjits that decided that this was a good idea, and kudos to our provincial gov't for NOT caving to the pressure from a small but vocal lobby grouo that wanted to split the province in two parts again with the stupid time zone issue.

Don't like it getting dark so early. And even now, before we change the clocks, it gets dark earlier than before. It's depressing when it's dark at 5:30 or 6 pm.

I like the extra hour to sleep in but REALLY wish they'd just leave the time alone all year long. I don't like that my 14-year-old will be travelling in the dark for 90 minutes every day after school, traveling on two buses and walking to and waiting at bus stops, and the walk home. I've sewn reflective tape on her backpack in back and the straps in the front so that makes me feel a little better about it, but still it's usually raining in the winter and so dangerous for pedestrians around here.
