Is this normal?

Hello all,
I have a grey and white tuxedo sphynx kitten who is 2 weeks away from being neutered. The question i have is this: one of his testicles sticks outward, sort of like it dropped oddly, and his scrotum has a discoloration (similar to the 'grey' ) that has seemed to become bigger (covers more) than it did a few months ago. Has anyone ever seen this? His behavior is normal and he seems perfectly healthy (just as he was at his last vet visit) so should we wait until his neutering in 2 weeks or should we bring him in?

Thanks. We can't seem to take enough pictures of him...lol.
Thanks for replying, we gonna ask the vet over the phone what they think and hope that they dont just say 'bring him in we need more money' kinda thing.

If there should be a problem any decent VET will work with you!!

Good luck with your sweety and let us know what happened.

There's no place like home
Morrison's testicles didn't distend until he was 7 months old, and his brother Hendrix had only one distend for a while. We had the vet check them out closely before neutering...he didn't want to do surgery on them if not distended, as it means cutting them similar to a female spay. Not sure about your boy, but perhaps something like this is happening? Calling your vet is good advice, and if he thinks it is something like this, find out what his procedure will be and go from there.

Not all testicles will be shaped the same, it's hard to say without seeing them. When you have a cat with plenty of hair, it's almost impossible to see the shape.
As for the color, do you think that it may be his coloring? It would make sense for the patch of color to grow with the testicle if thats the case.

What a hilarious thread!

George I hope everything works out. I'd call the vet just to be sure, especially since momofmany said the vet didn't want to neuter if one was still undescended.

We really appreciate your help and concern....and even your intrest in more pictures! So we promise to post more. Those first two are from when we first got him but we have more recent ones that we will post in the 'new members...or kittens' section since thats probably where that thread should go. Thanks again and we and george will see you soon!
