An old friend of mine has 2 Cornish Rex cats. They are very interesting. Every time I hang out over there they further my belief that cats are from another planet :what:

He really is like a parrot, cat and dog all rolled into one...

Talks back to you, perches on you, and goes for your jewellery (gently, he plucks it up and pulls on it with his teeth), like a parrot
I taught him to fetch the other day, he chases and wags his tail, e comes when he is called, and I have started clicker training him to do tricks, like a dog
And he purrs, snuggles and plays like a crazy little lion! We have carpeted walls and he will race up those, tail wagging, before twisting around throw himself, feet spread, onto the bed before racing off and speeding up the length of the bus. That's also how he regularly gets on the bed - he doesn't jump up normally unless he is in full pursuit of Suki.

He leaps up into the air, a meter high, to catch a flying toy, and flips before landing on his back legs. He will also stand on his back legs and take several steps before catching the toy in his front paws, which he uses like hands.

And watching him with Suki is the funniest thing. He is always wary of her, because if she is in a bad mood, she'll growl and hiss and bat his nose - but apparently her tail is so alluring he just can't help but try to grab it. he will gently pat her tail, body taut, ready to leap Away if she is cranky. If not, she will turn and chase, where they zoom up and down the bus, leaping over the other, sometimes coming to a rest, one hiding somewhere, the other hunting around for him, before the hiding one pounces and the game begins again.

He is so affectionate - and I am HIS human, and he gets jealous if I spend lots of time patting Suki - usually trying to find a way to get closer to me than she is - no matter if she is lying on my chest and he has to squeeze in between her face and my chin (usually resulting in getting told off by Suki, which means she gets told off for being grumpy right next to my face! Suki then goes away to find mum's chest and Mo sits there looking pleased with himself, before snuggling into my neck).

He adores me, and I him. If I'm not with my cat, I'm wishing I was with my cat. It is safe to say I am a certified Crazy Cat Lady now.
