We are very fortunate in that Sandy mostly passed us by. However we have had high winds and pretty constant rain showers.

The little "hime neko" doesn't seem to understand that although we control the door, we humans are not responsible for the weather outside it.  Aya snuck up behind me this morning and let out a big "I want something" meow. She then led me to the door. It was pouring outside. I obliged by opening it and suggested she try the barn if she wanted to stay dry. She stood in the open door for a half minute sniffing, wrinkled up her nose and walked away in disgust.

Poor kitty! Missing her field romps this morning I think.

I'm sure Matt can understand her frustration.....he's hanging around the windows too. We're in Canada, a few hours from MI and got some of Sandy's outer edges. he's not too happy about the weather either.....

Yes, the last 2 days it has been cloudy but the showers have only been intermittent, so she did get some walks. what's nice ofr us is she doesn't wnat to stay out forever in the colder weather and will usually follow one of us inside on cue, and resume "lamping" under the grow lamp on top of the pantry. Toasty kitty fur! -What a life!
