Hi everyone. It's been ages since I have posted here but I am not really sure what to do anymore. Phaedra is now 1 year and 3 months old. Currently weighing around 6 pounds. I have treated her twice for a bacterial& yeast infection in her left ear. Each time the vet gave me Mometamax to put into her ear once a day for 14 days. The gunk inside her ear goes away, but this time her right ear is filled up with that same gunk which has never happened before. Her right ear has always been clean. I'm a little worried as to what could be happening and what I should ask of my vet to help me do. I feel like these antibiotics aren't working and Phaedra seems to be hiding a lot more. She's now taken to going down in the basement to sleep, whereas she never went down there before. She still cuddles with me a lot but she seems to be more vocal now and seems lost. I love her so much and I don't know if she is in pain or what's going on.

Has anyone had this chronic bacterial & yeast infection in their cats ears? The vet says it is both yeast and bacteria. She also seems to be so tiny. She really looks like a cat that is around 10 months of age. She is skinny, but I don't know if she's too skinny. The vet doesn't say anything though.

Here are some recent pictures of her:

This one kinda shows how small she is..

My kitten had what might be similar and the vet gave her a course of oral antibiotics which cleared it up very quickly.  Suggest you go back to your vet and point out that this is recurrant.  BTW I hope the vet checked her ears for mites with the thing for looking in them.
