Hi, I'm new to this site.

I'm looking for help with my kitten. He has goop in his eyes, since he's been born off on. He's happy and playful. He's 4 months now.

I've been wiping them with warm water and they just seem to be getting worse. None of my other cats have this issue. Wondering if he has a heart condition, I guess its probably vet time.

Hope to get to know you all soon. I'm also a cat rescuer.

Happy halloween.

It's common for kittens to have upper respiratory infections that cause goopy eyes. These can come and go. I would go to the vet. When my kitten had one an antibiotic cleared it up quickly. L-lysine can help get rid of it and prevent it from coming back. You can find it in the vitamin section (for people) or buy it in a tube or treats specially for cats. I hope your little guy is better soon.

Hi, welcome to TCS!  I am battling the eye goop with one of my adult cats now.  She seems more prone to it than the others, though she was at the vet recently and got a clean bill of health.

Hi everyone. Sorry for the late reply.
Wicket is doing much better he got a shot from the vet, and it was an upper respiratory infection. Now my other cat has it. So he is getting a shot next. But no more runny eyes and he is more trouble then before... lol but a kitten will be a kitten... I really love this site.

Thank you once again.
