Hello there. I posted a thread a couple months back saying that I had rescued, or my family has rescued a stray and he is ADORABLE. however, lately he's been acting strange in the sense that sometimes he won't eat while at other times, he'll eat so fast and so much. I wasn't sure what my mom was talking about when she told me this over the phone, but she described that when she feeds him...he'll eat and then dart away and then "choke" on his food. He's never done this before and we haven't changed his diet or his food. He does an up chucking move net but nothing comes out so the food that he was chewing on. Has anyone heard of this behavior? And also, his third/transparent eyelid is halfway on both his eyes though he doesn't seem to be blind because he's well aware of his surroundings. Thanks.

The third eyelid being visible is a sign of illness. I'd take your cat to the vet and get him checked out. He might be having problems with his digestive system, if his eating patterns are odd. A vet will know more.

Agree with Callista.  A vet visit is in order here.

Yes, third eyelid is seldom specifically an eye problem, it is symptom of some sickedness somewhere.  Often an infection of some sort.  Perhaps only worms.

A vet check up will give you good answer.

Good luck!

Hello again. I do remember your other thread. SO is this kitty indoors now? Were you able to get him neutered? Or are you seeing this behavior outdoors? Either way, he needs to see a vet. Please keep us posted. Much, much luck :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
