Pregnant and mean

Our female cat is pregnant not sure how long she is but we can feel movement in her tummy and it is firm,we got our male cat fixed he got to her before hand, one thing that concerns me is latley she has become mean  hissing,growling and going after ppl is this normal? and u are not allowed to touch her tummy.

There are many others who are much better to answer your question but I also have a pregnant cat and she became quite nasty at first. She would swat and hiss at my neutered male cat and she hasn't been nasty to me but she has become very protective of her tummy. I think she's probably just hormonal and trying to protect her babies. Not normal per say, but does happen sometimes

When my cat was pregnant, she got very moody, and would flip at a moment's notice from purring in my lap to biting me. I think it's a combination of raging hormones, fear about the crazy changes that are happening to their body, and perhaps the feeling of the kittens moving around inside her.

Now since she's given birth, she's back to being very affectionate (Thank God!)
