I used to make a big to do about Halloween when my daughter lived at home. NOW :lol3: I still love to decorate and get lots of pumpkins but we have not carved pumpkins in the last two years :anon: :lol2: My hubby is traveling again this Halloween and I didn't think the cats would want to join me in the garage to carve. We don't get any trick-or-treaters either. Maybe two or three. :lol3: BUT I still love Halloween :pumpkin:

The kids have carved their pumpkins. We go to the pumpkin walk. The town decorates the local camp ground. lined with carved lite pumpkins. every campsite is decorated and gives out candy. then we come home and watch the fireworks from our livingroom window

Not celebrated where I live, some shops have halloween lolly displays but there's no trick or treating unless organised among neighbours.

We don't celebrate it in Zim here.

But I see all over the web people do.

I see that as a scary thing from what I have read so far.

Please can anyone explain me what is the significance of this holiday celebration?

I do my best to celebrate it. We will probably be going to the fair tomorrow night because most of the kids will be trick or treating and we don't have any parties to go to or anything. But I enjoy dressing up and carved 2 pumpkins this year (first time ever!) :)
