They opened a Trader Joe's here in Naples last year sometime but we just never got over there. At first the parking lot was a madhouse -- but of course it was in season then. Season is just starting here so we finally got over there last week and loved the store. Bought their private label salad dressings which were great. Especially loved the Greek Feta Cheese dressing -- already finished the bottle and will get a couple more next visit. Tried Sweet Potato Chips but didn't care for that at all. I've heard their store brand wines are great --- especially at $2.99. When we were there we weren't going straight home so couldn't get anything perishable, but will make up for it on the next visit.

I stop at Trader Joe's on the way back from visiting my DD in Portland. We have none local. I love that place, such yummy stuff and not expensive!

Oh..... I LOVE Trader Joes! It's one thing I definitely miss from California! Great food at great prices, can't beat that!

I have a long list of stuff I like to buy from TJ's whenever I get to Omaha. I don't have my list with me right now, but some things are: boneless, skinless, un-enhanced chicken thighs for the cats (hard to find in other stores, and when I do find them--$$$!), freeze-dried mango (yummy!), green tea mints, hummus chips, hummus! (I usually make it myself but theirs is sooo good), granola with freeze-dried fruit in it, nuts (cheaper than most other places, and not as salty), cookie butter, coconut oil, those lavender dryer sachets, and, oh, I forget what else. But all kinds of good stuff that's hard to find for a reasonable price at other places. I wish Sioux Falls would get a Trader Joe's. There is a store in SF that's basically a mini Whole Foods, but that's just not the same as TJ's. . .

The wines are really good, Cheeses are very good; they had a Fontiago (Fontina and Asiago) that was just outstanding, but it didn't last very long. Check out their olive oil; it's the only olive oil I use any more! We like to try their breads and rolls, too. I always buy their raw almonds to roast and then use in my nut brittles at Christmas. Before our local grocery started to carry frozen edamame, I bought them from TJs. Still buy TJs frozen artichoke hearts, too, so much better than the stuff you get in cans. Check out the rice mixtures; TJs had a great rice trilogy that we loved.

My only complaint is that their specials don't last very long. Just long enough for you to fall in love with it and then they stop carrying it.

Triple cream brie and steamed beets and the uncured bacon.

That bacon... the best tasting and the lowest price... LOVE!
