at mo im bottle feeding the kitten as there mother doesnt have any milk so im bottle feeding but if she accepts them could she feed them i know they really need the collosum milk but surely a cats milk would be better than the bottle milk

10-week old kittens would probably push the baby out of the way, plus AFAIK milk composition changes through lactation so it might not be really what such a tiny kitten needs.  A foster mother with a kitten or two that age or a week or two older would be far better if you can find one.

she likely wouldn't accept such a young baby. I tried that once, I had a mother who had older kittens and was bottle raising some that were a few weeks younger, I tried to introduce one to her just to see, and I'm glad I had stuck around, because it's likely the mother would have killed the smaller kitten

That my collegues already said, you can of course try anyway.

Do it when the bigger kittens arent around.

be sure to set some smells on the now kittens, so she smells of you and her own kittens.

Watch out of course, be there - but may be worht a try, even if itsnt optimal like Oriental says.

MY word of caution is: are you sure the baby is healthy?

Rescued babies from unclear situations sometimes got there because they were sick in something contagious, the mom and sibling perhaps already perished...

That is why most rescuers dont risk their nursing mom. They work 100% with the bottle.

Breeders do often try with a mom if they can find one - as they are sure the orphan from another serious breeder doesnt have any terrible contagion with her.  Otherwise they use the bottle them too.

Good luck!

im 100% certain that the 1 wk old kittens r ok as the person that has the mother cat says that she is fit n healthy but jusy unable to feed them once they r off the bottle she will be taking them back its just she is at work n therefore unable to feed them whilst at work so the spca that i foster from was feeding them whilst she was at work n returning them to her so she could feed them of a night time but that meant the spca lady that deals with the cat side of things couldnt actually be out rescuing more cats n kittens as she had to be home in time to feed the 1 wk old babies there was 4 of them but as there mother couldnt feed them the lady found it hard to feed all 4 n 1 died just a few hrs later n the other died a couple of days later due to dehydration so she asked the spca to help with the feeding
