Ok I have a 2 year old female cat who had her right eye removed when she was a kitten from a respiratory infection. I adopted her from a local humane society. It was sewn shut, she still has muscle movement there but thats it. She has never had any issues but I have discovered she has a small scab forming at the corner of the socket the eye is missing from. I don't want to remove it because I'm afraid of letting bacteria get in, like I said it is very small and at the very edge on the side of her nose. It doesn't seem to bother her at all and she isn't showing any signs of illness or infection. Is there anything I can buy that can help this heal up? Possibly homeopathic or at home remedys? I'm hoping I don't have to put her through surgery, she is a very timid kitty and I know she will hate staying at the vet. If anyone has any ideas that would be wonderful. I would ask my vet but I wanted to get opinions from other cat owners first. Thank you :rbheart:

A little vitamin E oil might help. It's healing and won't harm her if she licks a little. Look for a pure 100% vitamin E. That's the only thing I would try before going to the vet. I hope she's better soon.

I would take her for a vet visit, just to be sure.  OK, I'm lucky, my vets are both great and great value, but peace of mind is worth a lot.
