Kittens can get pregnant from around 4 months, so if she's not spayed and has been allowed outside or around an entire male then odds are she's pregnant.

If she's not far along you can get her spayed asap, it's very dangerous for young kittens to have kittens. If she's pregnant you'll be easily able to feel and see her nipples.

Also has she been wormed? worms can cause a rounded belly.

They can go into heat as early as 14 weeks (well, that's the earliest I've heard of anyway. The earliest I've had a girl go into heat was 16 weeks). But it's not terribly common and she's only just barely 4 months, even if she got pregnant at 16 weeks she wouldn't be showing yet. Plus, outdoor kitties tend not to get pregnant around this time of year. So my guess is that, if she is pregnant, she's only a week or 2 along, so whatever you're seeing isn't pregnancy (unless she was considerably older than 6 weeks when you got her).

Definitely get her to the vet to see what's up and schedule her spay while you're there.

ETA: I looked at the pictures. That certainly is some tummy, isn't it? But her nipples aren't pink and naked, which they probably would be if she were far enough along to be showing like that. I have seen kitties with tummies like that (even males so I know they weren't pregnant :tongue2:), and I always guessed it was worms. But if she's been de-wormed regularly I don't know what it could be. I hope the vet can figure it out! :vibes:

Honestly, she doesn't look pregnant to me,(and actually two two pictures look like completely different ages, with one looking several months older than the other) she her belly looks like Finns belly, and Finn is getting kinda flabby around her middle, because she thinks she gotta eat ALL the time, but she's not pregnant, and hasn't even been in heat yet, she is around 6 months

cats CAN go into heat as early as 4 months, but it's nowhere near as common as some of the people on here will tell you it is, at four months they'll have just barely left their mothers, some may not have, they're still technically babies at 4 months old.

I've never had a cat go into heat before 9 months of age, my cats Paint and Emry came into their first heats at around 9 months (two days apart, too), and Finn, who like i said is about 6 months old has never been in heat and probably won't be for a while.

wouldn't hurt though, to as Willowy said, take her in and have her looked at and if she isn't too far along, as much as I am against it, probably have her spayed, because if she IS only four months old, that'll make her around just 6 months when she has the kittens, and a cat that young can have all sorts of problems, because they are still so small and under-developed phsyically at that age. plus she could reject the kittens, or anything and then you'd be saddled with hand raising kittens (which is a very rewarding experience, don;t get me wrong, I've done it probably 50 times over the last 10 years) but it is exhausting

Not always, I've had maidens not lose hair around the nipples and the nipples be a very pale pink, almost white.

Just because you've not experienced it doesn't make it uncommon. I can assure you as a breeder, and knowing many other breeders it isn't at all uncommon for cats around 4 months to call.

This kitten may also be older than you think, if it had a rough start to life it can be smaller than others of it's age. Some moggie owners don't take down dates either and just estimate how old the kittens are when giving away.

Hi all, the photos were both taken yesterday evening,

this kitten had been hand reared and feed as the mummy cat got attached by a fox and didnt make it when i got her she was still very wingy and i ended up bottle feeding her for 2 weeks until i was able wheronto food prop, so as for her age ill never be sure,

i am hopeing to get an appointment at the vets tomorrow, a few people that have seen her said they think she does appear to be pregnant.
