So, somebody just came to my sister's door in PA from Respond Power (gas and electric) and convinced her it would be a good thing to sign with them. I'm very upset, and don't know if she has signed for a scam thing like the slamming with the phone companies or if this is something legitimate that could actually save her money. I know about deregulation and I know these companies are getting very aggressive. So if anyone has any info, please let me know. Also if it might be possible to cancel this and get her back on the regular service? So far she's only signed for the gas and the person is supposed to come back tomorrow to do the electric. I told her do NOT sign anything else, and I'm going to call the gas company on Monday. Meanwhile, I'd love to know what the heck I'm dealing with.
