Hello CatSite and forum feline friends!
We just discovered this fantastic forum directly from CatSite
Just a brief introduction about us us two kittehs who are the main focus... I'm Romeo the PR cat for Weekly Whiskers. I'm a Bengal cat and my brother, Kieran is an Abyssinian/Tabby mix rescue. We are both 7.5 years young; coincidentally born the same month two weeks apart in 2005 and coincidentally came home about a week apart in July 2005. We also have a Maine Coon sister, Alex that's a month younger than us - yet another coincidence that we met a year later when we adopted her daddy into our family. Both of us can perform a lot of behaviours (aka tricks) which was learned using positive reinforcement training. Alex does a few things, but she likes to watch us look silly instead of like cats.
I like hiking on trails, riding in fast exotic cars and on motorcycles (in a secured pet backpack). We both love to go for buggy (pet stroller to you hoomans) rides when our parents go out for walks so we can jump out and walk on leash when we feel safe. For fun, I can skateboard - Kieran refuses to attempt such a thrilling feat as he thinks it's so beneath him (heh! I made a pun!
); we both can leap through a small hoop high into the air, jump over hurdles, walk the high narrow beam, rollover, wave, walk backwards on our hind feet, give a high-five, play a cat-sized piano... Ahhh... I forget, but the list is long which I know I would bore the whiskers off of you if I told everything.
Sometimes our mommy gets to help unusual critters that we sort of get to meet; it's part of our training she says. This past summer we met Garfield, a groundhog noses to nose - I was afraid of him, but Kieran and Garfield were acting all like buds - TRAITOR! - and some orphaned raccoons but we weren't allowed to snuggle with them.
Nothing else really that exciting in our lives to share.
