This is really strange, but I was wondering if this has happened to any of you guys. My male cat Oscar, who has never had an issue in his life seems to not be able to tolerate this brand or this particular flavor. It is the Wururva Cats in the kitchen pouches. The Chicken and duck formula. I gave both cats their allotted dry food and half a pouch each. Kattie does fine with it, but Oscar ate half his dry and then started eating his wet like normal. As soon as he started eating it after maybe 10 licks or so, he got sick and threw up all his food dry and wet. I cleaned it up and he still seemed interested so I let him eat and the same thing happened. I picked up the food for a couple hours and then just offered the dry and so far he has kept it down. This is so weird and I think this happened a few weeks ago with the same brand. I didn't pay as much attention then as he was acting fine and he continues to act fine, just that vomitting incident. This cat can normally eat anything as I vary both dry and canned all the time. I rotate drys by mixing grain free and grain inclusive in a tupperware container and as it gets low I mix the new stuff on the bottom so it slowly gets introduced over a few days. I never buy the same brand twice in a row to vary things and avoid picky eaters and he has done fine with this. As to canned it is a different brand or variety at each meal. It is just this one that he has issues with. My other cat loves it so I will continue to feed it to her, but I was wondering if anybody else's cat has had this reaction to this brand or flavor. I love the quality of this brand so it kinda sucks that Oscar can't tolerate it. Very strange.

Duck is rich and fatty and disagrees with some tummies. Has he had other brands of food with duck in them?

That's what I thought that it might be too rich, but I have given him other brands with  duck in it and he was ok. I believe he has eaten natural Balance and Blue Wilderness canned with duck plus some of the dry foods that I rotate through have duck in them. This one though had a lot of gravy and it was shreds. He has eaten another of their flavors which was mostly fish and did fine. It was just weird, he was eating, then all of a sudden projectile vomit on the bookcase where he eats, and then as I was cleaning it up he was trying to eat more, silly kitty. After I picked it up and let him settle for a bit, and then just gave him his dry, he was fine. He still is a happy mischieveous boy trying to stalk his sister and play with the dog, so I doubt anything serious is wrong, but I still thought it was a strange reaction nonetheless.

I just fed this to my cat the othernight.  She didnt ever go too nuts for Weruva.

Willowy def knows her stuff.

However let me add some observations, Weruva is well known to be light on the caloric output, this has nothing to do with the fattyness of the duck, but its worth pointing out in that nothing can be done in high doses. For example a can of Weruva is 90-130 calories if I remember, and a can of Natures Variety instinct can vary from 200-250 calories depending on the meat.

Second, I would add that tuna is also a third ingredient.  My quick visual memory was white chicken, red tuna, and the duck was a color not typical for poultry.

My kitty was never nuts about Weruva, as their prices went up I forgot about the company.

You seem to feed them a good wet rotation, I do the same, but wet only, the worst I get is my cat rejecting/turning her nose.
