feral cat shelters and raccoons

Hi everybody, I hope you and your ferals are well tonight.   I've been thinking about a shelter possibly for Oscar, whether I can do it depends on a number of factors but I'm not even sure if I should try to do it because of the raccoons.   Won't a raccoon just love a cat shelter?   Something like this http://www.feralvilla.com/ or even a homemade one would look cozy for may creatures.  Thoughts and advice appreciated!

Hi -- we have raccoon issues, but keeping our cat shelter elevated (it's up on a stand about a foot or so) which seems to help.  Also, NEVER put food in the shelter.  That should keep them away, too.  We have never had a raccoon in our shelter.  We've had it up for 4 years now.  Give it a try!
