:pumpkin: Yesterday while I was at the grocery store, I strolled down the seasonal aisle for Halloween. I just LOVE halloween candy but I do not buy any until the day before Halloween. We rarely get more then THREE trick or treaters each year. We live in a small subdivision and it must be inconvenient for kids to treck down this way. It bums me out because I love to see the kids in their costumes. My daughter is an adult so I miss the days of going out trick or treating. I never have to buy much candy - guess that is a good thing for my waist :scale: :lol3: :D

I don't buy candy since I don't get any treaters. I live in an apartment complex, and I am sure kids are tired of running up and down the stairs! I don't get many at all.. last year only one small group came around and I gave them each snack-sized microwavable popcorn (it was all I had!)

At my parents house, we used to get a lot, but it dwindled over the years.

We never get trick or treaters. :(  There are no sidewalks in our town and not many streetlights.

Unfortunately, we don't live in the greatest part of town and last year we didn't get any trick-or-treaters, but we did get "pranked" (vandalized if you ask me and the other neighbors). Some kids thought it would be fun to put water in everyone's gas tanks (thank goodness we had just filled up the day before) and countless other cruel things. Needless to say, we are dreading Halloween this year.

None........live out of town and now that my little cousins are having little ones of their own and same with my friends' kids, no one ventures out to farms unless the owners are relatives or close friends

All I get out here are trickers (vandals) too.  The neighbor kids have sworn that they are going to damage or steal everything they can get their hands on.

Last year we had about 10 kids, if that. I was surprised because we live in a nice residential area.

We don't get many kids coming around because we are at the very end of long road. I have to really light the front of the house up to lure trick-or-treaters here, and even then the most we've had is about a dozen. We buy decent chocolate for treats so if there's leftover it does eventually get eaten.

We are always at church. We have Hallejeuh Night for the kids. We usually have hot dogs, bingo, cake walk, other games. No costumes.

We don't celebrate Halloween so we keep our lights off; but every now and then we get some kids knocking anyway.  We live on a semi-rural road; so they are being driven door to door.  There are neighborhoods not too far from here though.  I don't understand why the parents just dont drive them there!

We do always contribute at least 2 bags for the kids fall penny carnival at church.  They request that they not be in Halloween themed wrappers; but I guess it's still Halloween candy.

I'm off a bit down a side street, so I never get them either. I usually will buy one bag of something I like, "Just in case" I get any.  I do love seeing the really little ones in their cute costumes though,

so one year I went over to my parents house & helped hand out candy. I've also helped my mom paint faces at her church Hallelujah night for the kids.

It fluctuates every year. I'd say we get between 20-30 kids. I usually buy quite a bit of candy, but I also hand out a few per trick or treater.
the past few years I have used the leftover candy to make candy bark for Thanksgiving and it has been a huge hit. For Halloween I buy bags of the candy you use for the recipe.

I can't tell you when the last time was that we had any treat-or-treaters. Rick still buys a large bag of Reese's PB Cups, though....his favorite. To be prepared, just in case.
