My cat Wilma is missing! She dissapeared a few hours ago and I haven't been able to find her. I am pretty sure she is not inside, I checked over a dozen times. And I looked around outside and noticed the backyard gate was left open and now I am worried she may have gotten outside again and went into the front yard. I am nervous and worried because I don't think she knows how to find her way back into the backyard. Help! i am going to check outside again later tonight, but so far I haven't been able to find her! She is mircrochipped and spayed. She also has claws to defend her self. She is a tiny cat, and I am really worried about her. If I can't find her by morning I will make posters for her...

Is that your cat in the picture? If so, I would not wait all night. I would go look, all night if I had to. A black cat, outside in October, spells lots of trouble.

Oh no, that is a neighbours cat that I thought was a stray. My cat Wilma is a grey cat.

I will post her picture up here in a bit. I am going back out in a bit to look for her again. I'll probably spend most of the night looking for her

Most cats do not get lost. Someone I know lost a cat that returned about five days later. I hope that is the case with your cat. Good luck.

I hope so too.

I still have had no luck finding her, but I did talk with some nieghbours to keep an eye out for her. It's going to be hard to find her. I am really worried because this brings back bad memories.  A few years ago I had a 1 and a half year old calico that went missing. And what's worse is it was raining then too. She went across the street and since there was a bad storm she was in hiding and we couldn't find her. A couple of days later I got a call from someone saying they saw her get hit by a car crossing the street, but were unable to catch her. We never found her body.

Now I am worried the same thing will happen to My cat Wilma. Wilma was the same size as my other cat. Both were small cats. I have been out all day and night looking for her. But now with the posters going out I hope I can get more people looking for her.

I am just really scared that I will lose her the same way. She could be anywhere, she is such a tiny cat. And she is an indoor cat, so being

outside like this must terrify her. A few days ago she got outside and was locked out for only a few hours and she was whining like crazy to be let back in. I didn't know she was outside. But this time she took off after being trapped outside. Now she could be anywhere. Sorry for the long post...I just have terrible luck when it comes to missing cats.

And what makes it even worse is that she has a twin sister and her sister has been endlessly whining ALL DAY looking for her. Up and down the stairs. She does not know her sister is missing...I feel so bad for Betty. I just hope someone finds her soon. It doesn't help that Halloween is getting closer...

Wilma is beautiful! If the weather isn't too awful, try putting Betty outside in a carrier, maybe someplace where you can see her but she can't see you. Hopefully she'll whine or meow, calling for Wilma or just to get back inside, and Wilma will hear, recognize her call, and follow the meow home.

Good news, WILMA CAME BACK TODAY! She found her way home! She showed up at the back door meowing like crazy. As soon as my dad let her in she darted upstairs towards her food bowl.  And now she's been sleeping ever since. Poor thing must have been too scared to fall asleep. I think she may have a cold? SInce it had been raining the days she was lost outside? Hery eyes are wattery a bit and I had to clean them a few times...but at lease she is eating. I guess she will be sleeping a lot until she gets her energy back. But other than the cold, she seems to be okay. But yeah, WILMA IS BACK! I am so happy and her sister is very happy to see her too. Welcome home Wilma!

Thanks again for everyone's support!

She probably was never more than 200 feet away from the house.  When they want to hide, you will never find them.
