No babies yet. She actually isn't due until the second week of Nov. The waiting game is hard but I figure they'll arrive when they're "baked to perfection" lol
Alice is kind of walking funny this morning. She'll take a few steps and then do this strange thing with her back legs...I've checked her over and she's completely fine. I wonder if she's just feeling some lower pressure from babies? I remember when I was pregnant with my second son I felt pressure in the strangest places!!" Lol. Thanks for checking on us.
Holy moly Miss Alice is a grump today. Swatting at anyone walking anywhere near her! (Except me). I.have to take her to the vet regardless. I need a new pkg of Advantage and they need a current weight for her before I get more. So I've taken my cat carrier out and let her explore it today so she doesn't get upset when I try to get her in it tomorrow. She's been sleeping in it all afternoon. Wish us luck
Update: after seeing the vet, we have learned that Alice is not pregnant. She may have reabsorbed or have experienced a false pregnancy. She is scheduled for her spay. Thank you to all who had words of wisdom, its much appreciated.
Did the vet do any sort of ultrasound, or just feel her belly?
when my moms dog was pregnant some years ago the vet told her she wasn't, they scheduled her to be spayed and on the day of her apointment on the way there, Vexus went into labor in the car O3O she ended up having 9 pups!, my mom was ticked lol, not because she had the pups but because the vet was so sure she wasn't.
in the case that she has gone through a false pregnancy, that is disapointing to hear =(
I got him to do a scan bc he couldn't feel kittens so I was concerned maybe there was something wrong with her bc her tummy has gotten big. Scan showed no kittens but didn't show any underlying health issues either. I guess she needs to go on a diet lol!!
That would have been quite the surprise Gibbly!
Thanks for your well wishes missymotus
They will show all signs, including weight gain and her tummy should shrink down again on it's own within a week or so, unless she is actually overweight that is
Thanks missymotus. I'm betting she will shrink down again soon, as she is normally a slim cat.
If I can find it, I'll post a pic of het from the summer lying with my neutred male Chevy. He is enormous compared to her and he really does need to go on a diet lol. When we found him he was skin and bones and starving
He's certainly making up for it now!!
Thank you again for the info
