I'm at a loss on this one. Back in May we noticed Freya was stripping all the hair off her back legs.Took her to the vet thinking it was stress and found out it's an environmental allergy of some sort. Prednisone helps, but I don't want to keep putting her on it every time she has a flare-up. I'm at my wits end and have no idea what she's allergic to. Nothing's scented (because I have allergies) but we changed it all anyway with no results. Cleaning products, detergents, you name it, we changed it. We've not changed her food because Freya has a very sensitive stomach and is a horribly picky eater, but our vet's pretty certain it's not food.

Any ideas, suggestions, wild guesses, anything?

It breaks my heart that my girl is so uncomfortable and I can't think of anything else I can do for her. I've even looked into holistic options, but there's nothing in my area....help?

I should add that if anyone thinks it could be stress, let me know..I love Freya, but she's a bit neurotic. If something like feliway would help, I'm happy to try it.

awww, poor Freya.  I had a long haired cat who started loosing big clumps of hair on his back legs.  The hair was coming out just by him licking it.  His legs were bald in spots.  The vet was at a loss and tested for ringworm which was negative. It seems he had developed food allergies because once he was on a hypoallergenic diet, the hair started growing in strong and came back quickly.
