OK so my cat had her ear amputated in February due to severe frost bite damage. (she was a stray).

The ear healed up great originally but now months later there is a cyst at the site where the ear was amputated. My vet says it is at the site of the suture which is there to keep the cats ear looking a certain way. She thinks it would be better to let the cyst take care of itself. On some further examining today by me, I noticed that the cyst seems to be going deeper into the ear rather than bursting through the cartilage.

I left a message for the vet, as they are closed on Sundays, and let them know that I think something has to be done before this gets worse. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could use to help get this cyst to drain better for now till we wait on the vet? I was thinking heat treatment might work. Any ideas?
