I'm new here, and thought its about time to formally introduce myself and my "kids"

I'm 30 years old, and just moved back to my hometown area. I have three cats, 2 boys, and a 8 week old little girl.

Butters is a 5 year old, 20lb, big boy. Hes not overly obese, in fact, he is a very TALL cat. He has a very big frame, and I just have to assume there is some Maine Coon in him.

He is the sweetest big boy I've ever encountered. He is very intelligent too. He growls when he hears someone coming up to our apartment, or parks outside. He wants his belly to be rubbed every chance he gets. I have a beaded suncatcher on our front porch, so when the sun rises in the morning, theres a light show in our living room, which Butters enjoys. He will chase the lights, meow at the top of his lungs, and gets upset on cloudy days where there is no sun.

Then there is Kimba, a 1.5 year old Siamese. He is all white with yellow points, and blue eyes. I got Kimba after a friend lost her apartment, and foolishly gave Kimba to a man who abused him. I went to that mans apartment, and told him I would take Kimba, which he gladly agreed to. He bragged to me that he would throw and kick Kimba, and force him in the shower and spray hot water on him.

It didn't end there. Kimba was bit by a wild snake that got indoors, and almost killed him! (Story is in the "Health" section) He has recovered, although his 108 fever has left him a little.....challenged in the intellectual department. He is still a great cat, hes very happy despite his rough start at life. Kimba will be getting fixed this coming Monday!

Last, but not least, is our new addition. She is an 8+ week old all black kitten, with a little white splotch on her chest. I got her 2 days ago, and have named her Hallow (pronounced hollow) She is such an amazing kitten! She walked in here like a boss, has no fear, and is a purr machine! She sleeps cradles in my arms, and insists on kissing my face whenever she can! The sweetest little girl I could have ever asked for!

And here are the pictures of my kids, Butters, Kimba, and little Hallow!

Thankyou!

Well, I got Butters when he was a year old, and he was already named Butters. He responds to it, among his various nick names such as "B" &  "B-butt" " I used to associate his name with the South Park character, but Butters is such a character himself, his name is all his! :)

That previoulsy posted picture of him I call, "Butters is Judging You."  It was taken last week. :)

Here are some more of the big boy!

These are older pics, when he was 3 & 4.

However, the third picture is a recent one of him, not more than a month old. :)

We never get tired of more pictures of gorgeous cats like Butters.  Or Kimba, or Hallow.  I love the close-up of Butters.

Such great-looking cats with interesting stories. Did you know that some people call the white spot on Hallow an "angel's touch?" I think the expression is explained here on the forum somewhere.

I did not know! I will have to look into the origin of the saying.  Very cool!

I did not report him, because he ended up losing his apartment and is homeless.  Kimba is now living a comfortable, stable, lifestyle, and his previous owner is struggling to find a place to live. What comes around, goes around!
Welcome here ! And congratulations for the rescue of Kimba - some people are just non-humans.
Thanks for the welcome! And yes, sadly most humans are a pretty awful excuse to be categorized  as an "intelligent species."
