My male 4 year old cat (Dante) has a problem with gobbling up his food.  We've changed the brand several times and for a while (about a month) he will be fine, and then the vomitting with start again.  I've tried feeding him smaller amounts throughout the day but this just makes him very aggitated and unhappy.  I also have a 1 year old female cat (Kiara), which makes it hard to feed him seperately (he'll run in and gobble up hers if he thinks he didn't get enough food).  She also doesn't eat if she's forced to, she was abused from a young age before we adopted her so she only wants to eat when no one else is around.  I've heard that switching them from dry to wet food may solve a lot of issues, if so, what brands to reccomend?  I would appreciate any help you could give me.

There are special pet bowls with bumps on the bottom, so the cat would have to work to get the food out of the spaces between. This slows down eating. I'm not sure if his gobbling is the cause of vomiting. You said he stops for a while when you change brands. In any case, wet food is healthier for a cat than dry. They need meat and moisture (wet food). Not lots of carbs and dehydration (dry food.) Some brands I like are EVO, Merrick, Wellness, Tiki Cat, Nature's Variety, Natural Balance, Blue Buffalo, Halo.I choose these brands because they have less junkie ingredients than others.  To keep costs lower you could  rotate in Fancy Feast (the classic variety) or Trader Joe's turkey canned food. Really any wet food is better than dry in my opinion. It's hard feeding 2 cats with different needs. Could they eat in seperate rooms ?

I definitely urge you to transition your two cats to a wet food diet. Feeding them on a schedule, you can control portion size and help prevent the scarf and barf issue. And they will be so much healthier! :)
