14lbs is getting too big for balancing lol

Poor /Matt was exploring last night, and hopped onto daddy's side-bag(which was hanging  from the coat hooks....once there he could not figure out ow to get down lol. no nimble kitten is he, he ended up having to be rescued, sitting there all pathetic, giving me the 'save me' look until I came close enough for him to reach over in desperation and climb onto my shoulder.......well at least we don't have to worry about him getting stuck in high places lol!

It reminds me of when Abby was "smaller."  When she first came to live with me she was 4 months old.

She would jump up onto the kitchen counter, then onto the top of the fridge and finally up onto the top of the counters.  The apartment had 2 walls that were 3/4 height, so there was about 1 foot gap between the top of the wall and the ceiling, the same height as the cupboards.

She loved to go up there and walk around and lay on the wall  (4" wide), because she could see me wherever I was in the apartment except for when I was in the bedroom.

However, once she was up, she couldn't figure how to get back down, so what she used to do was go over to the far end of the wall, opposite corner of the kitchen to how she got up there, and put her front paws down the front wall and jump down onto the deep freezer below.

One day I heard her meowing and meowing, and I looked. She was walking along the wall, putting her paws down the front of the wall like normal, and meowing, and walking along the wall some more.

She was stuck!!!  I guess she had grown to the point, and gained enough weight where it wasn't as easy to jump down to the freezer as it once was.

I couldn't reach her, so I had to try and get her to come down via the fridge and counter. I managed to coax her into trying it. The expression on her face when she realized that she was doing it the hard way all that time, was priceless!  It was like a light bulb went off!

Cats are so cute when they go through their learning processes. LOL
