My cat never draws blood, she might give a small scratch, but never to the point of bleeding. but she does something that annoys me to no end. sometimes i'll carry her, and she'll grab at my arm with her hands and feet and start kicking. she wont hurt me with her nails, and she'll stop if i tell her too. but she keeps doing this. and she gets this crazy look on her face! lol the weird thing is shes actually a very tolerant cat, and at most just whines if you bug her too much.

i dont care for myself, but if i ever have kids i dont want her doing this. how can i stop her from doing this? is she trying to hurt me, or is this her way of playing?

this is my first cat, so im not sure how they normally act.

It's just her playing, if she was trying to hurt you she would. That doesn't mean you want to encourage this behavior. There are cat toys called Kickeroos that are specifically for this kind of cat play. Whenever she does this to you put her down immediately and redirect her to the toy. If I touch my cat's belly with the toy he starts playing with it right away. They sell them at most pet stores. For some reason my cats love the frog kickeroo the best.

If you are at all handy with a sewing machine you can make your own - they are simply a cylinder of material with a filling (probably with catnip) sewn across at the ends, with a tail of some sort.  The cylinder needs to be long enough so the cat can hold with it's front paws, chew, and kick with it's back paws.  8", maybe longer for a long cat.  It could be heavy or light depending on the filling.

They make them in all different sizes now. I got the original size, but I say that they make small ones, and really big ones as well.
