cat ate ENTIRE hair BAND

my cat had been acting like he was a little sickly the last 2 day, throwing up a little but just liquid. he would cry right before he threw up. but he was eating a drinking and still seemed generally ok. i was going to take him to the vet on the 3rd day if he didnt feel better. this morning he was perfectly normal. and then i found my large hair band in vomit all tangled up. i couldnt believe it. and to make it craizer there were 2 or 3 regular thick hair ties wraped in the hair band/vomit. he ate ALL of it. i was shocked. i cant even believe hes alive right now, thank goddddd. anyone know if this may have caused internal damage?? im going to go through my entire house right now looking for hair band/ties. i guess this is warning, bc i had no idea a cat would do this!

Some cats will eat anything.

He was very lucky he vomited it all up If had gotten into his bowels it would have kille him.

You will have to put all little odds and ends away, for you will never know what he may try to eat next....
 

WOW!! Yes, you are very lucky he threw them up. As jiskefet said, if it would have gotten into his intestines, it would have been a bad outcome.

I'm glad he seems to be doing well, but if you can, an X-Ray would be a good idea, even if just for your peace of mind. It's a good idea to get things checked out after that. -Just to be sure everything is okay, & nothing else is left in there that could go further down & cause a problem.
