So lately ive bee noticing...(cant help it...kush comes up and just sticks her rump in my face COOOONNSSTRANNTTLLY) that the little one seems to have two weird masses on either side of her anus. I guess i shouldnt say masses. It looks more like pointy waxy burrs? Its kind of hard to explain but im sure other cat mamas will know what im talking about. Now...shes not swollen at all besides these little black bits and at first i thought they were a wee bit of poo but theyre not.

Is this something most cats have? Should i be worried? Do they need removed/expressed?

Rather hard to say without seeing the evidence!  If you are worried pop in to your vets.  BTW is she spayed yet?  Just wondering what with the bum in the air stuff...

Could be anal gland problem, unusual, but it happens.  What are his bowel movements like--cats usually express them when they have a BM, but the BM has to be the correct consistency for that to occur.

Well...her bowels are fine. She goes regularly and all. I bit the dust and drained them. And OMG the stuff that came out of them. My poor babygirl. She was NOT happy!! She tried to kill me in the process but now is up MY butt for love and treats. She seems quite content now that theyre emptied. First thing was a hard black matter that was ontop then a thick pasty gritty substance that was inches long and very thick. Sorry if thats tmi. It was kind of greyish colored in some places and brownish/poo colored in others. As soon as it was over she went straight for hee treats, ate some wet food and is acting fine.

She was a feral litter kitten that was abandoned or the mother was killed. We believe the mother was hit by a car. I have had issues from the beginning with her. The vet gave me syringes and i was having to give the poor baby enemas when she was only 2 weeks old because she was so stopped up and that went on for weeks even with me stimulating her. And ive noticed as loveable as she is when i pet her back end area she would bite. Not mean..it seems playful kitten behavior but now im wondering if it was because she was stopped up in her sacs and it made her uncomfortable? The smell was HORRIFIC. Shes only about 16-17 weeks old. But as i said...we have had so many issues with her since taking her in. Shes on evo cat food dry and wet so shes getting good protein for what i can afford....so i dont think its from a crappy food. Im thinking it just might be her and i might have a life full of problems with her since its been like this since 2 weeks old

She is only around three ats that are all spayed/neutered and not allowed out without a leash and supervision.

WOW you're a braver soul than I am, expressing her anal glands.

And yes, stinks to high heaven.  And yes she was probably very uncomfortable.
