Cleo was a feral cat I have been feeding and caring for the last year. I had intentions to bring her inside after a vet visit to make sure she didn't have anything for the sake of my other two cats. On the way back home from the vet on Sat morning I noticed a animal on the side of the road as we came closer I realized and screamed to my bf  that it was Cleo. I'm having a very hard time dealing with this as I feel it was my fault I didn't bring her inside before this happened and I didn't protect her. My heart is broken from losing her and all I can think of is how she would watch us in the windows and try to run inside...she wanted to be in here so badly. I miss her so much and wish I could undo this.

Oh bless her heart, l'm so sorry
What a pretty little girl Cleo is as well.

I can only imagine how hard this must be for you, but know that Cleo is safe again across the Bridge, and l'm sure she knew your good intentions

Oh I'm so so sorry this happened. You were working toward bringing her in. You couldn't predict this would happen as she had been okay for a year. I'm so sorry.

OH HUN.... :shame: I am terribly sad to hear this. I do know how you feel as I care for feral cats and lost one shortly before I planned on bringing him indoors to socialize. It weighs heavily on the heart. That is the hardest and most heart wrenching thing when we lose them that way. I don't know why things like that happen nor the reason. I guess the only consolation (if you can even call it that :sniffle:) is that you do know what happened to Cleo. It is almost worse when you don't know where they went or what happened. My deepest condolences for your loss. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

We can't save all the cats we want to. If you're a cat person, you're probably bound to find at least 100 cats per year that you'd just love to take in... if you had the space and the money. Unfortunately, Cleo's image of wanting to get in will stay with you for a long time, and you'll have to find a way to work that out somehow, or be patient until it fades.

I'm very sorry for the little one's death.

Hi freakNpink.....I really feel for you . I am dealing with tremendous guilt myself. My kitten Jet was killed by a stray cat. Jet was hanging out with my cat Ed enjoying a sunny morning chilling. I went inside to do something....the rest is history.
I know its my fault and will never forgive myself for not being there at that moment for him. He was adorable....it is such a traumatic and devastating affair.
So you see, you have nothing really to feel guilty about...you were in the middle of a process.
I wish you well. xx
