Fish Oil Supplements

for people who use fish oil supplements for their cats, about how much do you give them? Mine are all on a diet now because 2 of them have gained quite a bit of weight in the last 18 months. I'm feeding them Nutro Natural weight reduction food, which they are eating, but have noticed that my Khan in particular has a dry skin problem. He has always had a slight one, but it seems to be worse since the diet change.

I was advised not to use cod liver oil because of the high Vit A content, which is just as well since I managed to buy a bottle of cherry flavored cod liver oil lol. That went over well..NOT! So I figured I would use either the capsules or oil that is primarily Omega 3 & Omega 6.

Any thoughts on how much to use would be appreciated! There seems to be little concensus on this on the websites that I looked at.

I've heard many good things about supplementing your cats food with Fish oil, but I'm not sure of the amount. You might want to PM Deb25, since I think I remember her mentioning in the past that she uses these supplements with her cats.
