The new window is in! I went home last night, walked into the kitchen, and broke out in tears. I cannot believe that is my window. I got out my cookbook, put it on the counter and started reading. And I can read the print without turning on a light. I was standing by the sink preparing dinner last night and I was just simply amazed. I can look outside and see so much of everything. And the new window is lower than the old one, almost to the current backsplash (still the old countertop), so it almost looks like we're right outside.
When the granite fabricator comes to template the countertop, we're going to have him take the granite template right up the wall to beneath the new window....it will only be about four inches or so from the countertop. I think I'm going to like that look.
The circles have been cut into the ceiling, too, for the sun tunnels.
