Twiddledee is part of a feral/stray cat colony I and another woman take care of. -Dee has been part of the colony for around 9 months. Previously owned, TNRd, adult cat. (He showed up the same time as his presumed brother, Twiddledum.)
Around two weeks ago, we noticed he was not putting any weight on the front right paw. He lets me rub it, lift it a bit while he was eating and it certainly does not appear to be broken (no pain when moved). There is no obvious injury. Any idea what could be wrong--I know it's a crap shot guessing the diagnosis.
I'm afraid if it is a pulled muscle/tendon, treatment would involve confinement indoors for several weeks, and there are no fosters available. Also, it's getting colder, and I'm afraid his ability to hunt food or dumpster dive is compromised; he can't run as fast.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
